The Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) is a premier scientific institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India devoted to research and development activities in the areas of Basic Plasma Physics, Magnetic Confinement Fusion and Industrial and Societal applications of plasmas. IPR is located at Bhat Village, Gandhinagar (Gujarat) and also has extensions of its Laboratories at the “Facilitation Centre for Industrial Plasma Technologies (FCIPT),” GIDC, Gandhinagar and a Centre named “Centre for Plasma Physics-Institute for Plasma Research (CPP-IPR)” at Guwahati, Assam.
Applications are invited from highly motivated and result oriented candidates for the following temporary
posts.
Nature of work: The candidate will be required to assist in characterization studies, experiments, system modifications,
routine lab maintenance and other project related work.
AGE LIMIT: Not more than 28 years on 01/03/2021
TENURE: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will be appointed for a period of one year or co-terminus with
project whichever is earlier.
REMUNERATION: ₹31,000/- p.m. + 24% HRA per month (Consolidated).
SELECTION PROCESS:
The applications received in response to the advertisement shall be scrutinized and only candidates shortlisted
from valid applicants on the basis of all criteria like age, educational qualifications, experience, etc., shall be
called for Interview. The authorities reserve all rights, not to call an applicant for Interview without assigning
any reason.
1. The prescribed Essential Qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not
entitle candidates to be called for interview.
2. In the event of number of applications being large, Institute will adopt short listing criteria to restrict the
number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number by one or more of the following
methods in the given sequence.
i) Percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (B.E./ B.Tech./M.Sc.)
ii) CSIR-UGC NET/GATE score.
iii) On the basis of higher experience in the relevant field.
iv) By holding a Written Test.
6. THE CANDIDATE SHOULD, THEREFORE, MENTION ALL OF HIS QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE IN THE
RELEVANT FIELDS OVER AND ABOVE THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS. For example, if experience is not
essential for the post but an applicant possesses experience, he is advised to fill it in relevant field. Only
those educational qualifications and experience, etc., will be considered for scrutiny / short-listing which
are explicitly claimed in the online application.
